Pitts S2S G-EWIZ Aerobatic Display – Saturday 2nd & Sunday 3rd August

This weekend The Gloucestershire Steam and Vintage Extravaganza will stun their visitors with a sky scraping aerobatic display by Raging Bull. Flying a G-EWIZ Pitts S2S, serial 018 which is one of only 30 aircraft ever built it will reach top speed of over 200 mph and capable of pulling plus 6g and minus 5g.

This G-EWIZ was originally built in 1981 for the Australian Aerobatic team and was shipped to UK for an international competition. It has now been rebuilt and modified by pilot/owner, Richard Goodwin, specifically for Air Show Flying. Richard has been flying for the last 33 years and started his aviation career flying the Tornado GR1 in the RAF.

The Biplane enhanced aerobatic capability with unique manoeuvres such as the Double hammer head (or Pin wheel) Tower of power, (Torque roll and backwards flight) and High Alpha Knife edge Flight are just some of the manoeuvres that you’ll witness at The Gloucestershire Steam & Vintage Extravaganza. Displaying at 1pm on the Saturday and Sunday – look to the ground and you will miss it!
